Mag Drive Week 1 = Completed

Hey Everyone!

We did it! We completed our first week of selling Mags!
From the announcements we've heard it seems that we are doing a great job! Just a reminder though, we are not done yet! This coming week, we need to continue to sell!
Together we can get days off of school!
So remember to sell!

Anyways, we had some Bell mixers this weekend. So we hope that all of you who went had a good time!

This week we have a few exciting dates. On Tuesday, we have parish day! So look for your youth leaders and make sure to eat with them.
And at the end of the week Student Council has their Fall Leadership Conference! So everybody get pumped! We sure are!

Go Panthers! And have a great week!

Love,

Your ASB

Hey Pres Girls!

Hope you had a great three-day weekend. Wow last week was a busy one!

We hope you found a club or two that really sparked your interest at Club Day.

Our first student council meeting on Monday was very productive. Our meetings are open to everyone, so feel free to stop by! We encourage you to do so.

The Mag Drive Assembly was a huge success! Everyone looked so adorable in their class colors. Thanks to each class for all of their amazing dances, Panther Pride for bringing so much spirit, and the dance team for really working it! It sure was a perfect way to get pumped for MAG DRIVE!

First turn in day is Tuesday the 7th, so bring in those orders. Top homeroom gets free dress on Wednesday :)

Remember to bring in as many orders as you can. We want to make sure we get those extra holidays in February!

Hope you have a great week!

Third Week and Going Strong

Hey Panthers!

Hope your first couple weeks have been going well.
Congrats to all our new homeroom reps who were elected last week! We can't wait to meet all of you in student council. Also, the Frosh Mixer was a success on Friday. We had a big turnout we think it was a great start to a new year for all the Freshman.

Our first student council meeting is on Monday, August 30th. Feel free to come by - our meetings are open to everyone!

Club Day is also on Monday so be sure to check out a few clubs that you're interested in and get involved. Remember to not sign up for too many and commit to the few that you really want to do. It's quality not quantity!

Finally, the moment you've all been waiting for: MAG DRIVE! Our Mag Drive Assembly will be this Friday during Collaboration! Get pumped!

Remember to start selling those magazines and let's make sure we get those extra holidays in February! Have a great week and stay on top of your homework!

Summertime!

Hey Panthers,

Hope you all are having a great summer so far!
Your 2010-2011 ASB has already been hard at work planning for next year!
We even came up with our Student Council theme for the year:

Motivation + Unification = One Panther Nation

Catchy isn’t it? It encompasses our goals as your ASB and will help us to have a great year.

We know that school is the farthest thing on your mind, but we thought it might be helpful to remind you of the summer reading lists so that you can be sure to get those books read.

INCOMING FRESHMEN:
The Secret Life of Bees—Sue Monk Kidd
Funny in Farsi—Firoozeh Dumas
Breaking Through—Francisco Jimenez

INCOMING SOPHOMORES:
The Samurai’s Garden—Gail Tsukiyama
The Murder of Roger Ackroyd—Agatha Christie
The Sunflower—Simon Wiesenthal (Just read the first portion of the book by Wiesenthal; your teacher next year may assign some of the essays later.)

INCOMING JUNIORS AND SENIORS:
My Sister’s Keeper—Jodi Picoult
The Outliers—Malcolm Gladwell
The Girl with the Pearl Earring—Tracy Chevalier

Beside reading, don't forget to rejuvenate yourselves for the fall semester! Relax, go to beach, and hopefully this weather will get nicer so we can enjoy our summer!

Love always,

Your 2010-2011 ASB
(Alyssa, Kayla, Ramey, Lauren, Natasha)
