Swim to Remember!

On Tuesday, September 29 Pres will be hosting Swim to Remember.

Get ready for the 4th annual swim-a-thon to support the Breast Cancer Connections of Palo Alto, a non-profit that benefits breast cancer patients, and the Claire Buscher Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship honors a very special Pres teacher, dedicated to the work scholarship program, who lost her battle with breast cancer 6 years ago.

The pool will be open from 6 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. and from 1 p.m. - 8 p.m. Come by and jump into the beautiful pool to support this awesome cause. Even if you don't want to swim, you can still help out by counting laps! If you would like to participate or volunteer, e-mail Coach Marisa Cozort at aquatics@pres-net.com

See you at the pool!

Love your water porpoise,
Lindsay :)

Happy Monday!

Hey guys!!

How has your weekend been besides hot? I hope it has been going well! Student Council had a great weekend because it started off right on Friday at Leadership Conference! We had an amazing time and there were a lot of great ideas discussed. I know that we're going to have a fantastic year! Remember: all student council meetings are open to everyone! :)

Here's a shout out to the JUNIORS who won the poll and got a couple extra spirit points! Congratulations! Awesome job to the other classes as well because it was a tight race and EVERYONE was really spirited about Mag Drive! We did so well this year and now we can look forward to a whole week off in February! Way to go Pres!

Just a reminder that Swim to Remember is coming up so if you have some free time please volunteer to help out. Even if you're not a swimmer, they need other helpers as well to help make it a successful event! Thanks in advance for your help.

Here's something to get you through the week: the marshmallow experiment is a famous psychology test that was originally conducted in the 1960's. It has been repeated many times and this is one of the more recent ones. It's hilarious!

Enjoy your week! Remember that we have free dress Monday and Tuesday-try to stay cool!

Love,
Alyssa

CONGRATS!!

Congratulations to the SOPHOMORE class who took 1st place in mag drive! Also, great job Madison DiNapoli, our top seller, who will be going to Hawaii!

We all did an amazing job this year, ladies. Keep up the good work as we head in toward the holiday drives! Save your spare change for penny drive, start collecting you paper bags and non-perishable food for food drive, and finding some toys for toy drive!

Keep on rockin' girls!!

Love,
Lindsay :)

Rock A Hula!

Freshmen! Guess what? There is an O Team event that will be happening tomorrow at collaboration! I heard that it will be a Luau type theme and Luaus are always fun because of the food and hula dancing! You might see me for a surprise visit so watch out for a girl in a grass skirt! Hint. Also, I would like to mention that there are two Snip-It shows this upcoming Thursday at 2:15 and Friday at 7:30. One of the shows is Barbie and Ken!So for all of you doll lovers, I encourage you to come! But if you are interested in having a good laugh or for some fun entertainment, go to the Snip-It shows! Especially if you have short attention spans, like me, you should definitely attend.

I would like to remind you all that the last day for the poll is TOMORROW during lunch! It's a nail biting close race and I'm DYING to know who's going to win those extra spirit points!

Before I go, make sure you all get your flu shots and stay healthy! It'sthe flu season and a lot of people have been getting sick (like me!). So make sure you wash your hands and drink lots of orange juice! That's all
for now!

Stay lively my little sunflowers!

Blooming like a flower,
Arisa

What happened to the rain?

Hello my little sunflowers! I hope all of you are doing well. We finally got rain! But it suddenly stopped. What happened? Well anyways, I apologize for such a late post but technology has been disliking me for the past few days.

Just a few days ago, we had our annual Parish Day! Wasn't Bishop McGrath wonderful? He was such an adorable man! The mass was very lively and you were all on your good behavior. I hope many of you went to visit your parish or joined a friend in a parish you did not belong to. I went to my old parish and it was really fun to see the youth ministers have a grand 'ol time.

Anyways, the end of mag drive is drawing near! It's a pretty close race and I have to say, sophomores definitely do not have the slump this year! Let's pick up the slack and bring in more magazines to break our school record!

Giving you smiles and laughter,
Arisa

Happy Parish Day!

Hi everyone!

Parish day was fun today- the Lit Band sounded great, and hopefully you had the chance to go and visit your parish youth ministers and found some ways to get involved!

There are only two days of Mag Drive left- make sure to do your best! The sophomores are looking good- are the other classes up for the challenge? We'll see by Friday!

If you're looking for some great theater entertainment, make sure you go and see SnipITS on Thursday at 2:15 or on Friday at 7:30. Our extremely talented actresses have been working hard to put together an entirely student-run show, which promises to be great. You can buy tickets from an ITS officer or buy them at the door!

Speaking of entertainment, the Bones premiere is this Thursday night at 8:00! We shall finally get to see whether Booth has lost his memory permanently... or if he will recognize Bones and finally admit that he loves her. Who's excited?!

Finally, ASB is gearing up for Fall Leadership Conference! We have been working hard for the past couple weeks to make this overnight at Pres an awesome one. Student Council, make sure you bring your class level shirt, a very comfy sleeping bag for the hallways, and your spirit! We hope that you learn a lot and have the opportunity to bond with your fellow student council officers as well.

I saw the sun!

Happy Friday my sunflowers! Aren't you excited? The weekend is here!
This week was pretty chaotic for me and it got me sick...literally.
So I'm stuck here at home and not at the place to be...of course
Presentation High School!

I hope all of you are working hard because today is another turn in day
for Mag Drive.
Let's earn that third holiday shall we?
I'm also sad that I'm not attending Leadership Academy. All of you who
are signed up will get a kick out of these workshops. Take it from me,
it's very helpful! I should be sleeping but before I go, don't get sick!
D: Flu season is around the corner. So make sure you wash your hands and
drink lots of fluids!

Giving you rainbows and butterflies,
Arisa

P.S. For all of you going to the Bell mixer, make sure you be good!
Represent our school with pride!
Dance like these little cuties.

Aww!

P.P.S. Is it me or has it been super hot lately?

Mag Drive and more!

Hey guys!

So Mag Drive was amazing, yes? But let’s remember the point of Mag Drive, to sell magazines! Quota is $120 per girl, but it would be amazing if we all sold more than that so we can reach our school goal. Remember to vote for the most spirited class at the Mag Drive assembly (the poll is on your right!)

Remember that the CI Faire is on Wednesday during Collaboration. Also, there is a Math and Science Colloquium on Thursday at 7.

Finally, to end the week, there are Leadership Academy workshops from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. See the Leadership Academy board for more details! Hope to see you all there! Have a fantastic week and remember to smile! :)

Love,
Alyssa

Mag Drive Kickoff!!

What’s up guys? Did you all have fun at the Mag Drive assembly? It was so neat to see everyone in their class colors with so much spirit and pizazz. All of the groups had awesome dances and they truly exemplified the positive attitude and excitement that we want you all to have toward Mag Drive! Freshmen, you were amazing!! I was so impressed by your energy. Your dance was fabulous and everyone is so glad that you are at our school. As for the sophomores, juniors, and seniors, well you all brought your “A”-GAME and showed us your savage panther spunk! I hope you all enjoyed the assembly and got a good abdominal workout from all of the laughter and cheering. After an awesome event like the Mag Drive kickoff, I believe it is fitting to say “It is a great day to be a panther.”

Keep selling those magazines!!

Love,

JT Wozniak
