Here comes the weekend!

Freshmen, the night you’ve all been waiting for is finally here! The “Tell Me When to Glow” mixer is tonight! Remember, you can make your own shirts as long as there is no writing on it, with the exception of “2013.” Bring your glow sticks and game faces and get ready to dance all night long!

Is your car in need of a little water and soap? Are you trying to find something to do on Saturday afternoon? The Presentation Dance Team is having their annual Car Wash Fundraiser this Saturday. Please support the Pres Dance team by stopping by the Chevron station at Almaden Expressway and Redmond between 9am and 2pm. Suggested donations are $5 for a car and $10 for vans, trucks, and SUVs.

Next Monday at 3pm, we’re going to have our first Student Council meeting of the year! Everyone is welcome to attend. We have a lot on the agenda, including the discussion of Mag Drive incentives and committee time. This year, student council will also have open committees. The committees are groups of students who are in charge of planning events and activities for a certain aspect of the school. They plan events and have responsibility of maintaining that area of expertise throughout the year. Here’s a list of the committees:
• Student Activities Committee: The student activity committee will head the planning and running of ASB related events throughout the year. They will also work closely with Spirit Squad to promote spirit and bring down the apathy level in the school.
• Social Committee: The social committee is responsible for the coordination of ASB dances and mixers. They will also be in charge of the logistical planning of the Big-Little Sister program and events throughout the year.
• The Chill Squad: The chill squad helps ease the stresses of students, teachers, and faculty.
• Campus Improvement Committee: The campus improvement committee works on ways to improve the appearance of the campus and the feel of the school.
• Community Outreach Committee: The community outreach committee helps promote a positive relationship between the school and the surrounding neighborhood.
We hope to see you there!

Also on Monday is Club Day. Get ready for awesome skits put on by the leaders of all of the clubs on campus! Club sign-ups will be in the center after the assembly. Make sure you don’t overwhelm yourself by signing up for too many clubs. It’s better to be active and dedicated to a few clubs than have to be a flake in a whole bunch. This is a mandatory collaboration so plan your rides accordingly.

Hope you all have an awesome weekend!

Love,
Lindsay
