Clearing Up the Confusion

Hey Guys!

There has been a lot of confusion about the dance, so here's some info to hopefully clear everything up!

Date Dance v. Mixer

The Masquerade is officially being called a DANCE. Because the poll results were so close and the voting wasn't necessarily represented solely by the Pres community, we decided to compromise. Statistically, 566 girls voted for some type of mixer option and 389 voted for a date dance. Officially the semi-formal date dance option did win. So the masquerade is a dance. At co-ed school, dances are opened for all students to attend; the "date" aspect is optional. So if you would like to bring a date, please do! Which leads me into...

Ticket Sales

Singles tickets will be sold online at Pres and Bell. If you would like to bring a non-Bellarmine boy, you can get a guest pass from Ms. Teresi in the Leadership Office. Bell boys are being let in without guest passes only because they are our brother school.

Attire

Please come in appropriate themed dress. Because it is a masquerade, we're hoping all of you (yes... boys too) show up in masks. It is NOT required to wear a mask, but it is strongly recommended as there will be a mask contest... and it's so much fun! Come in "party attire." Anything from dressed up jeans to casual dresses would be perfect. It's your chance to get all dolled up, but we're not expecting anyone to be in prom-styled dresses.

We hope this clears things up for you. We're sorry for the confusion and lack of communication. Let us know if you have any questions!

Love,
ASB

WE HAVE A WINNER!

The poll results are in!!! The December ASB dance will be a...

Masquerade Dance
Date: December 5th
Time: 7:30-10pm

Don't know what a masquerade is? Traditionally, people held masquerade balls (like the one in Gossip Girl season one) to have fun, dress up, and be someone else for a night.

It is a DANCE! Tickets will be sold "mixer style" online at Pres and Bell starting Monday, November 30th. We will ALSO be selling guest passes to any Pres girl who would like to bring a non-Bellarmine boy to the dance.

Please wear appropriate themed dress! While masks aren't required to be admitted into the dance, we will be holding a mask competition so it's your chance to show off your creativity.

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who voted! You guys rock!

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please email me at lvong@pres-net.com!

Sending you love,
Lindsay :)

December Dance!

Hey Everyone!

The ASB Winter Dance is coming up soon!! Because we want to make sure you guys have fun, we're giving you the power to chose the dance theme!

What kind of dance do you want to have in December? A super relaxed mixer? A dressy semi-formal mixer? A semi-formal date dance?

And what attire do you feel like rockin? Are you ready to bring back the 90s? Are you feeling cool enough to rock Christmas sweaters and elf clothes? Do you want to attend a masquerade? Are you ready to dominate like your favorite superhero?

We'll be organizing your dance around the type and theme YOU pick! Good luck!

Food Drive has started!

Hey, Pres Girls!

As you might have noticed, food drive is upon us! The crates of food are beginning to line the halls, and as always, I am blown away by the amazing amount of food we are able to pull together. Props to the sophs, who are doing great- can the other classes catch them? We'll have to see! If you have some time after school, grab some friends and go leafleting or canvassing. It is so much fun- not only do you get to bond and listen to some good music, you learn how to read maps. Seriously. Life skills, girls.

Let's make this year better than ever- Sacred Heart needs us! Remember that the homeless hygiene push day is this Friday!

Have a great week!

Alisha

What's our motto?

Hello my darling flowers!

The winter season is fast approaching and all we can think about is Christmas: the season of giving! My toes are freezing and that is how I know that the winter season has come. We had our wonderful prayer service last Friday to kick off the holiday drives. As all of you heard, Sacred Heart depends on our efforts to help them support those who are not as fortunate as we are. We may be freezing in our homes now but what about those who are freezing in the streets?

We start food drive this week and it will go on for the next 3 weeks. Remember, this is not just a class competition or a way to earn a bucket full of spirit points. THIS is a time where the Presentation community comes together in solidarity for one cause. Think of those who are unable to eat one hot meal every day or a person who is unable to provide for his/her child. Let's put that motto of ours into action shall we? Let's make Nano Nagle proud!

Giving you the courage to make a difference,
Arisa

Here's a song for a boost of motivation. Do it for the common good ladies. Sacred Heart depends on us!

Attention Juniors and Freshmen!

Hello everyone!

I hope that you all enjoyed the Holla-ween Events on Friday because I certainly did! The Big/Little Sister program was launched on that day, and I hope all of you had fun with your sisters. You will have a chance to give us some feedback about the event on Wednesday during homeroom so that we will be able to improve for the next event which is on December 2! Also, if you have any problems, you will have a chance to report this on Wednesday.

I know that the event is a month away, but it doesn't mean that you shouldn't hang out with your sisters until then! Here are a few ideas:

1. Have lunch with each other one day! Introduce each other to your group of friends or exchange lunches that day for an extra surprise!
2. Freshmen: Since the holiday drives are coming up, ask your sisters about them. Or if you have any problems with homework, ask your sister for help!
3. Since the musical is opening this weekend, you could buy a ticket and watch it with your sister.
4. I hear the volleyball team is playing all this week! Come with your sister to support our team.
5. This Wednesday, Bellarmine will be having a rally for their football team at 7:30-9. Bring your sister and watch the show - our Dance Team will be performing!

Don't be shy! Organize some down-time with your sister, have fun and make lots of cute memories!

Giving you opportunities to make long-lasting friendships,
Arisa

The Beginning of Another Wonderful Week

Hola!

I hope you all had a very FUN and SAFE Halloween! Friday's lunchtime activites were a success and I hope you Juniors and Freshmen enjoyed meeting your sisters! This is the beginning of many fun times this year!

Just a reminder that this week we have Leadership Academy workshops on Wednesday. See the Leadership Academy board for sessions that you have yet to take and sign up to help further develop your leadership skills.

Another exciting announcement-starting next week...FOOD DRIVE officially begins! Yeah! Remember to save your brown bags and start looking for coupons to buy lots of food! People really need our help and thanks to all of you wonderful people, I know we'll be able to help them out and make this an amazing year! Ask your homeroom representatives about upcoming canvassing dates. Grab a group of friends, pick a date to help out, and go have some fun!

Have a fantastic Monday and enjoy the rest of your week!!
