Clearing Up the Confusion

Hey Guys!

There has been a lot of confusion about the dance, so here's some info to hopefully clear everything up!

Date Dance v. Mixer

The Masquerade is officially being called a DANCE. Because the poll results were so close and the voting wasn't necessarily represented solely by the Pres community, we decided to compromise. Statistically, 566 girls voted for some type of mixer option and 389 voted for a date dance. Officially the semi-formal date dance option did win. So the masquerade is a dance. At co-ed school, dances are opened for all students to attend; the "date" aspect is optional. So if you would like to bring a date, please do! Which leads me into...

Ticket Sales

Singles tickets will be sold online at Pres and Bell. If you would like to bring a non-Bellarmine boy, you can get a guest pass from Ms. Teresi in the Leadership Office. Bell boys are being let in without guest passes only because they are our brother school.

Attire

Please come in appropriate themed dress. Because it is a masquerade, we're hoping all of you (yes... boys too) show up in masks. It is NOT required to wear a mask, but it is strongly recommended as there will be a mask contest... and it's so much fun! Come in "party attire." Anything from dressed up jeans to casual dresses would be perfect. It's your chance to get all dolled up, but we're not expecting anyone to be in prom-styled dresses.

We hope this clears things up for you. We're sorry for the confusion and lack of communication. Let us know if you have any questions!

Love,
ASB

  1. "Officially the semi-formal date dance option did win."...Then why isn't it a date dance??

  2. There were more votes for a mixer choice. You can bring a date. We just wanted to make sure people could also go as singles.

  4. I don't get what's appropriate for the dance. Jeans? or a dress? Mixer clothing? or Black and White clothing?

  5. All class levels are invited! :)

And dress in party attire. So that could be dressed up jeans or a casual party dress (like something you would wear to a nice birthday party). Please don't come in soffee shorts or in a semi-formal b&w dress.
