Bike to School and Neighborhood Reminders

Hi Everyone!
This has been a very busy week so far! Just a quick reminder to Bike to School this week for spirit points! You can park your bike on the field in the morning, then go to the gym foyer for a student council member to sign you in. It's environmentally friendly and fun, especially as the spirit point race is racing toward the finish!

The city council meeting with the neighborhood is also tonight. Hopefully many of you came out to show your Panther Pride and support. As we interact with our neighbors regularly, here are some important reminders:
- DO NOT make a three-point turn using a neighbor's driveway. Though this is technically legal, it disrupts traffic in the mornings and causes an inconvenience. Many students have received detentions for unawareness of this rule.
- DO NOT block driveways or pull into red zones. Also, try not to park too close to garbage cans or park on top of piles of leaves or lawn clippings.
- DO NOT allow your parents to use the visitor or faculty spots as drop offs, unless the student is cleared to do so because of an injury. Drop off zones are in front of school and behind the gym.

Let's continue to make the neighborhood a safe place!

Keep Our Neighbors Happy!

Hi Everyone!

As you heard on the PA announcements, our neighbors have not been happy about how we're driving around the Presentation neighborhood! Read on to find out some do's and don'ts about keeping the neighbors happy!

Top Five Ways to Keep our Neighbors Happy

1. Always explore the parking lot first before parking on the street- especially with the new parking spots this year, there are plenty of spots to park if you get to school by 7:20.

2. Make an effort to carpool to school to cut down on traffic; coordinate with a friend.

3. Ride your bike/scooter/walk to school and save the environment!

4. Tell your parents to slow down and respect our neighbors.

5. Follow the golden rule- treat the Pres neighborhood like it’s your own!

Top Five Ways to Disgruntle Our Neighbors- Just Don't!

1. Don’t block driveways, leaf piles or garbage cans.

2. Don’t speed down the residential streets- there are children present!

3. Don’t leave trash in the neighborhood area.

4. Don’t let your parents drop you off in red zones or double-park- have them drive around to the back of the gym and drop you off there.

5. Don’t give our neighbors a bad impression of how wonderful Pres girls are!

Consequences-Watch Out!

1. Parking/speeding tickets from police

2. Detentions- even if your parents are driving badly, you will have to serve detention for them!

Let's make this year a peaceful one with our neighbors. Thanks!
